I photographed Melanie and Dave's wedding a couple of years ago, but I have so many unique memories and photographs from that day that it remains one of my favorites. The day of the wedding, as we quickly discovered, was the annual Au Gres Pirate Festival. The groomsmen all ran into a nearby party store to buy some eye patches and on their way back were able to "barter" for a photograph with a passing pirate and his wench.
The ceremony took place on a bridge; a venue that seems to be increasingly popular with couples. There was an RV park behind this bridge and as you might imagine, their wedding attracted a small crowd of unplanned guests. When the officiant announced, "You may kiss the bride" the RV crowd all honked their horns in honor of the newly married couple.
